POLITICAL SALT

Adding spiritual salt to the meat of politics... in the pursuit of good government.

"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt,
so that you may know how you should respond to each person."

- Colossians 4:6

Retreat

Retreat... an interesting word for time spent away. (Yes, I have been on a blogging hiatus for several months.) Militarily the term "retreat" is generally the opposite of advance. We can easily call to mind all the movies where the cry of panic is sounded resulting in the desperate flight of soldiers before an advancing army. Some may survive to fight another day. However, when the term is used for a "spiritual retreat" in can mean a time of great advance. A time to evaluate. A time for vision. A time for strategy. A time of renewed conviction and resolution. Yes, it is often important to retreat in order to advance!
