POLITICAL SALT

Adding spiritual salt to the meat of politics... in the pursuit of good government.

"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt,
so that you may know how you should respond to each person."

- Colossians 4:6

This "voice in the desert" is born out of a heart to see Arizona and our nation return to God. Along with friends who join with me to contribute experience and insight in the pursuit of good government, we will address many of the difficult political issues of the day. Through November 7, this will also serve as a blog for "SIEGE I" and "SIEGE II" times of prayer and fasting for good government, restoration and revival for our state and nation.

Politics and Prayer!

O, the presumption of men who think they know better than God. Contrary to some popular opinions, politics and prayer go together if you are seeking good government. Prayer is first an acknowledgement that everything good comes from God, including good government. Man in the exercise of any true authority must recognize the source of all authority. God is the source of all good, justice, law and order. God created us and the nations, and in such a way to respond to us as we draw near to Him. Prayer is weak and even absurd, unless God is Who He says He is. Prayer is mighty if God is. Prayer submits our will to His. Just as our Founding Fathers established our nation, we must acknowledge God in our politics through prayer.
